Once a day is recommended but twice a day will go a long way if that’s a priority of yours.

We want to be clear that there’s no expectation of you doing your movement routine more than once a day.

The Movement Program was built with the expectation, and hope, that you’ll do your movement routines once a day.

If committing to this process even more deeply is a priority of yours, then that’s incredible. You’ll get a lot of extra benefits from doing the routines twice a day – but that’s not an expectation.

For most people, it’s hard enough committing to doing the routines every single day. Mastering consistency and commitment is our first priority.

If you’re able to stay consistent with that, by all means, see what happens when you start doubling up. But ONLY when you’ve proven you’ve built the habit of making time for your movement routines every day.

Doing your routines once a day for seven days straight is far superior to a few times per week at twice per day.

If you’ve mastered consistency and want to up your commitment, give two-a-days a try.

With this approach, you’re giving your body another opportunity to balance and function efficiently. This can be especially helpful when dysfunction, compensation, and imbalances are highest at the start of your journey.

Many Pain Academy students report liking to do a routine in the morning to set themselves up for the day and then again midday or at night to unwind and disrupt any unhealthy movement patterns that may have been reinforced by their environment.

There’s only one circumstance where it may be counterproductive to complete a movement sequence twice in a day––and that’s if you find the routine to be very robust and physically challenging for you.

If this is the case, it may be best to give your body some time to respond and rest from such a heavy-hitting routine. If you’re unsure, give it a try and see what happens. Your body will tell you if it’s too much.
