I would love to know more about the thought process that goes into each sequence and why they are in a certain order.

As you may have realized, the movement sequences in The Movement Program consist of exercises and positions that are laid out in a specific order.

This order of movements is important as each exercise sets your body up for the next exercise so that you can receive the greatest impact from each movement.

There is a general “trend” that each movement sequence follows to a certain degree when it’s constructed. It goes something like:

  1. Mitigate symptoms or “relax” the body

  2. Take out the rotation in the body

  3. Work on deeper muscle function

  4. Leave in a neutral position

As you can imagine, there is an overwhelming number of exercises that can be combined in infinitely different ways. It becomes an art form to construct a powerful and efficient movement sequence with such variety.

And, believe me, our founder Vinny has spent many thousands of hours constructing those sequences and all their permutations!

There really is no other program out there like ours that dynamically adapts to your specific needs. Trust that each movement is there for a reason in the specific order it’s been designed!

Hopefully, this helps you understand a little bit more about why each sequence is the way that it is.

If you take some time to reflect on each movement sequence, the intentions described, and reverse engineer the thought process it may be more simple than it seems!

At the end of the day, though, I recommend not overthinking it and trusting in the process 🙂
